2026 Lead Counselor 

Carson Benjamin 

Carson is arguably one of the most talented bike riders, not to mention one of the most decent human beings you’ll ever meet (he is beyond modest)! This former national champion, has dedicated his life to working with kids, as a cycling coach and in his 9-5 as a school teacher.

Carson has extensive experience when it comes to leading mountain bike camps, as a former head coach at San Domenico HS and previous mountain bike camp leader. Suffice to say we’re beyond excited to have Carson on board as our lead counselor for 2026!

Sarah Haskell 

My name is Sarah, and I attend Archie Williams. 

I've been a counselor at 3 summer camps; 2023 summer Camp Daggett camp aide. 2024 and 2025 Brendan Lenz San Domenico Ceramics camp. 2025 RVMBC

I am looking forward to spending the day outside and sharing the amazing trails in our area at Ross Valley Mountain Bike Camp this summer! 

I've Raced in the NICA league all four years of high school with consistent podium finishes.

2026 Counselor 

Zach Rice 

My name is Zachary Rice, but I just go by Zack. I’m a sophomore at Terra Linda HS and have been racing for the past 4 years. Mountain biking has always been a part of my life, and I grew up going to Otis Guy MTB camp. I was very glad when I heard that Paul brought back the camp after Otis retired, and I became a CIT at Ross Valley that summer. During that time, I established a deep personal connection with the camp, and I’m glad to be back once again as a full counselor working with the new and older riders.

Dylan Donner 

I'll be attending Dartmouth College in the fall.

I have competed for 4 years of XC racing with the Archie Williams MTB team.

I previously attended Ross Valley MTB camp/Otis Guy MTB as a camper and have counselor experience with Fairfax Cycling Camp.

I’m excited to spend my summer sharing my love for Marin biking trails with younger riders!

Angus Bly 

My name is Angus Bly and I go to San Domenico High School. I have been biking for 5 years now with 4 years on my high school's mountain bike team. I'm excited about working at RVMBC this year because I get so much joy from mountain biking and I would love to pass on that feeling to the next generation!

Rhys Wiliams 

Hi! My name is Rhys, and I am a graduating senior at Archie Williams High School. I have been passionate about mountain biking ever since I moved to Fairfax in middle school. Throughout my high school career, I've raced mountain bikes and worked at Sunshine Bicycle Center, which has given me opportunity to build community and meet inspiring people like Carson! (our lead counselor!) 

Over the past two summers, I’ve had the privilege of working as a bike-camp counselor, where I have supported campers in growing their skills while having fun too. I’m excited to return this year and keep sharing the magic of Mountain biking with others!

OJ Plunkett 

My name is  OJ and come August I'll be attending San Domenico HS
I've been riding bikes since the age of 2 and have attended the local summer mountain bike camps for the past 7 years!  I currently race for the Terra Linda Mtn bike team. 
I've been a CIT for the past 2  years with Ross Valley Mountain Bike Camp and Otis Guy Mountain Bike Camp. 
I'm looking forward to working for Ross Valley Mountain Bike camp this summer because biking is fun, you get to meet great people, the campers are nice and Paul’s dogs are great!

Hi! My name is Bebe and I'm 10 years old. My new owners, Tina & Paul came and adopted me from Muttvillle at the beginning of 2025 and I couldn't be happier with my new family. They take me to Ross Valley Mountain Bike Camp so I get to meet all the new campers each week! If you see me at camp, please come and say hello as I love making new friends! 

While I'm not very good at mountain biking, I really enjoy riding along the trails of Marin in my backpack, stopping for snacks and of course an ice cream from Scoops at the end of the day is a highlight (sometimes dad shares with me)!
